What our guests say about Copperpot Cottage

Copperpot Cottage wins Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence!

Hooray and thank you to all our guests for consistently giving 5* reviews of Copperpot Cottage.  We were one of the very first self-catering cottages in the UK to scoop this prestigious award and have continued to win, year on year.

  • The Copperpot Cottage has all the character and charm not to mention well equipped you could ask for while staying in Portrush and surrounding areas.
Nicci, was amazing host making sure every detail of our arrival to our stay was looked after. After long days golfing and sightseeing it was a delight to return back to the charm of the cottage. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer but we will definitely return again!

  • Hi Nicci we've just had the most amazing stay in your beautiful cottage. Thank you for being most welcoming and helpful. Copperpot cottage is truly the most homely, cosy and immaculate cottage decorated so tastefully and with little warm touches in every room. Home from home feeling, lamps on, beds ready and fresh bread and milk. Everything at hand.
Very best wishes and can't wait to come back.

It was so beautifully decorated, spacious, cozy, and very charming! There were so many personal touches and she left us a beautiful welcoming notecard! It had everything we could need and beyond! The warm and welcoming, spacious home, location, parking, and beautiful area made our stay above and beyond what we could have imagined. Nicci helped accommodate us on a later arrival! • Beautiful cottage with lots of character. Homely feel, great for kids also! Very clean and easy to use. Spacious, safe and peaceful. Also lovely to meet host on arrival and always responsive to our messages.

    — Fintann, 01 Mar 2023
  • We had an amazing time at copper pot cottage. We were there with a toddler and a baby! House was ideal and there was even a big box of toys for them. So cosy and clean.
Area was brilliant…lots to do and see. A great base to see the North Coast. For children, near a good number of playgrounds and beaches. For adults, fab cafes and restaurants nearby too. A lovely break! Thank you. X

  • Nicci and Jonny

    The Cottage is amazing!
Beautifully decorated for Christmas and wood burning stove (already set and with logs provided) gave it such a warm and homely feel. Thank you to Nicci for great communication, ease of booking and meeting us at the cottage on arrival and showing us around. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our needs and immaculately presented.
The location was great for walking into Portrush and also car parking at the rear of the house.
Our son (aged 4) was especially happy with the large bag of toys in the kitchen which kept him busy until Santa got there on Christmas Day!
Many thanks for a great Christmas.

What an absolute gem of a Cottage . From arranging the weekend Nicci was on hand and helpful in great recommendations.
The photos of the Cottage don't do it justice. Immaculately presented. It's is absolutely beautiful with the most stunning location.
We walked from Portrush to Portstewart and the views absolutely beautiful.

    Thank you both

  • We had a lovely week at Copperpot Cottage - a pre-Christmas get together with our (step)daughter and her family. The cottage is warm and inviting as was the personal welcome from Nicci. The place is very well equipped and comfortable and well placed for exploring a beautiful part of Northern Ireland. I thought we would have to drive everywhere but we spent the first two days happily walking the short distance down into Portrush to the beaches and shops. Great chip shop just a few minutes away too. What else could you need? Highly recommended for short stays / family get togethers on the Causeway coast.

  • We had a wonderful stay with friends at Copperpot Cottage. The cottage is so well equipped, it has everything you need for a visit to the North Coast. You are ideally placed to visit the Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery and the Carrick a Rede rope bridge. Our visit didn't just stay in the area though. The Mourne Mountains and Strangford Loch are just 2 hours away. Well worth a visit.
Copperpot Cottage is a little gem, and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

    — Will Tattersfield, 16 Sep 2021
  • We stayed at the Copperpot Cottage for a week with friends. We were delighted with the facilities at the cottage and it’s location on the Anterim coast. Especially pleased with the secure parking area for two cars and our bicycles at the rear of the cottage and space to sit out in the back garden and enjoy the fine weather we experienced, We were made very welcome both at the booking stage and upon our arrival. Nicci is a genuinely friendly host and we would recommend this cottage for all the reasons listed,

    — Pauline Henley , 09 Sep 2021
  • We stayed at Copperpot cottage for a weeks break in the North coast with our 7 month old daughter. The cottage was immaculate and very picturesque. It has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable break.

The location is ideal as it is out of the town but within walking distance to Portrush and a very short car journey to Portstewart. The location was ideal for travelling to all the scenic spots around the north coast such as The Giants Causeway, Portstewart beach, Portrush East Strand, Bushmills, Mussenden Temple etc.

Nicci was very helpful with our booking and kept in regular contact. Both Nicci and Jonny were very hospitable and accommodating to our needs. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

  • We had a great stay at Copperpot Cottage. The house was spotless and has everything you could need. Great location, is handy for the beaches and portrush town. Nicci was a fantastic host, and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend, and we'll hopefully be back sometime!

    — William, 10 Aug 2019
  • Had a wonderful weekend at Copperpot Cottage. Deceptively spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated with everything you could need. The log fire was so cosy and an added bonus. Location is great, very peaceful but no distance to Portrush and close to all the attractions the North Coast has to offer. Nicci was a lovely host who met us upon arrival and the fresh flowers, milk and bread were a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend Copperpot ... didn’t want to leave. Thanks Nicci and Johnny for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage

    — Christine Stitt, 21 Mar 2019
  • We had a fantastic weekend at the North Coast mainly due to our stay in Copperpot Cottage. Nicci was very friendly and down-to-earth and it was easy to keep in touch with her by email etc. She was very informative about what to do in the local area. The cottage is very charming and comfortably sleeps 4 people. It is much more spacious than I had anticipated and it was spotlessly clean. It has a huge fireplace and stove fire which was fantastic. It is the perfect gateway for exploring the North Coast, as it is close to the Giant's Causeway, Bushmills Distillery etc. I will definitely be staying in Copperpot Cottage when I visit the North Coast in the future. Thanks Nicci for helping make it a great Birthday weekend.

    — Stephen, Belfast, 10 May 2018
  • Thanks Nicci & Jonny for yet another great stay. The house is just perfect for us and we had a great couple of day with the work crew and then with the family. House has everything you could need and lighting the big stove was just great. We will be back of course!

    — Alastair P, 07 Mar 2018

    — Marie D, 25 Feb 2018
  • We had a wonderful stay in copperpot cottage! You can tell that Nicci and Jonny go the extra mile to make their guests feel welcome. There was milk in the fridge and fresh bread and wine as well. There were lovely fresh flowers on the kitchen table which was a lovely touch. The cottage is clean, cosy, beautifully decorated and a real home from home. It is close to portrush town centre but also enjoys the benefit of being set in a lovely peaceful location! We had a great stay and will definitely be back!

    — Rebecca H, 05 Feb 2018
  • What a wonderful venue this was for our family get-together at New Year. Booking was so easy and Nicci was so welcoming and answered all our questions prior to arrival, providing extras like the travel cot and a box of toys for the tinies! The Christmas tree and decorations made the place especially welcoming and the log fire added to the atmosphere, although we spent most of our time together in the large open -plan kitchen (exceptionally well-equipped), where all six adults and two tiny infants had plenty of room to relax. Everything was spotless and the beds guaranteed a good night's sleep. The information folder included everything we could have wanted and would be especially useful for a longer break later in the year. Positioned within walking distance of the town of Portrush - and having a supermarket on the doorstep and a fuel station nearby - make this a most convenient venue for a great visit to a wonderful part of Northetn Ireland. We will book again!

    — Trish K, 05 Jan 2018
  • What a super-cosy cottage! Beautifully presented and plenty of room for 6 people. A great location for exploring Northern Ireland. The owners were lovely to deal with and we shall hopefully return.

    — Ali Welson, 27 Sep 2017
  • We fell in love with Copperpot Cottage as soon as we walked through the door. Our family where there for a celebration and the ambience of Copperpot was the icing on top of the cake . We have already told friends and colleagues about it,would thoroughly recommend it and we hope to be back.

    — Lawrence G, 19 Sep 2017
  • Great location for our stay central to what we needed. Plenty of room for the kids, just like a home from home. Hope to be back next year.

    — clare mitchell, 16 May 2017
  • We absolutely loved our stay at Copperpot Cottage. On arrival it was exactly as it was on the website. Nicci and Jonny had thoughtfully provided the essentials as well as a welcome bottle of wine. Everything that could possibly be needed for a self-catering stay was provided and was of the highest quality. I would definitely love to stay here longer than a weekend to explore everything that this part of Northern Ireland has to offer. Full marks to Nicci and Jonny for a lovely weekend.

  • We spent a lovely week at this cottage during February half-term. Ideal location for exploring the North coast. Accommodation was spacious, clean, well equipped, warm and quiet. The owners were friendly and helpful. Our children enjoyed having their own rooms and the Wifi!

    — Jennifer Mitchell, 01 Mar 2017
  • We hired the cottage for a work event - a series of meetings held with me over 3 days. Superb cottage, perfect for us to gather and feel at home yet get some work done. We're pretty local but this was a great place to get away from the office to. Thanks for everything!

    — Alastair Patton, 20 Feb 2017
  • What an absolutely wonderful stay we had, which was all too short! We were greeted warmly by Nicci and given a thorough show around the cottage, which is really well equipped and beautifully furnished. The bed was really comfortable and the shower good and hot - perfect contrast to the weather we experienced during our stay! Great central location, but on a quiet road, which we appreciated. We also liked the parking off street. This cottage is absolutely delightful, and if we are ever over this way again, we would certainly try to stay at Copperpot Cottage again. Thanks Nicci and Jonny -
Copperpot has been our most memorable stay during our trip to the UK this year!

    — Andrea and Mike, Melbourne, Australia, 12 Jan 2017
  • Copperpot Cottage met our expectations and much more. It is beautifully presented with everything you could possible need for your stay be it for two nights or two weeks. The cottage is in an ideal situation for touring the Antrim coast and is only about an hour away from Belfast. It is also within easy reach of Portrush with its array of many diversified restaurants. The cottage is situated in an ideal quiet location with parking round the back. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

    — Pam Whitby, 24 Oct 2016

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Copperpot Cottage, The cottage itself was very well equipped, very spacious, clean and comfortable. It felt like a home from home! The added personal touches really made this stay so enjoyable for us. We will definately be making a return visit and have already told all our family and friends how amazing it was!!!
    Thank you!

    — Louise Collins, 05 Apr 2016
  • The cottage was even more lovey than we imagined it would be. Nicci was there to give us a warm welcome when we arrived and show us around the cottage, which was well equipped, cozy and a real home from home. A lovely touch was the milk, bread and bottle of wine that was left for us. The location was also fantastic for exploring the stunning coastline and attractions. We had an amazing weekend and will definitely be back :-)

    — Rhian & Andrew, 29 Feb 2016
  • We had a wonderful weekend break at Copperpot Cottage. A lovely house, so spacious and well set-up for guests. Nicci has thought of everything and it truly was a home from home! Hopefully we will return!

    — Dawn Beck, 12 Nov 2015
  • Nicci was so helpful in our trip planning phase (answering my numerous questions) and our welcome to the cottage was so friendly. The cottage was such a lovely place to unwind after a busy week of travel in the south of Ireland on a fast paced tour bus. With some guidance from our host we were able to streamline our sightseeing plans and eat at some wonderful restaurants! Everything was very clean, organized and well planned at the cottage. The location was great because we weren't right in a town or city but so close that it wasn't ever a problem to pop out for whatever else we needed (including a Starbucks 10 mins away in Coleraine!) Everything was within an easy driving distance, Belfast, Donegal, the Giant's Causeway. Portrush is such a pretty seaside town. It was nice to be in the country because it was quiet at night. The WiFi at the cottage was handy for keeping in touch with our kids back home and we really appreciated the laundry room and dishwasher! We are already talking about coming back with some family members in the future now that they've seen our pictures and heard our stories. We would highly recommend a stay at Copperpot Cottage if you're planning to visit Northern Ireland!

  • We loved our stay at Copperpot Cottage. It was a great base for our adventures around the north coast.
It was so well equipped, which was great as we have two young children. A lovely cosy cottage, that felt like a home away from home.

    — Leaun Carolan, 17 Jun 2015
  • What a gem! Copperpot cottage is just perfect! Lovely warm welcome and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Great location and beautiful cottage. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Nicci and Jonny.

  • We had a really good feeling about Copperpot Cottage as the communication was first class from the start. On arrival we had a warm reassuring welcome from the owner and a healthy stock of larder supplies to get us started. The cottage was clean, warm and had everything we required to make a perfect weekend including games and jigsaws, we had a fantastic break in an outstanding property

    — Adrienne, 29 Apr 2015
  • Copperpot is the type of place you don't want to review to selfishly keep it a well kept secret. But it is so tasteful, homely and ideally located that it is difficult to resist that temptation. We have never stayed in a place that felt as much like a second home. Thank you to the owners for all the extra touches, from kids toys to milk and preping the fire.

    — Jason and Maryann, 29 Mar 2015
  • We stayed at Copperpot Cottage over Christmas and New Year. It was fabulous and the kids loved the place. The Christmas tree and decorations were a lovely touch. We will be back!

    — Michael Mulligan, 06 Jan 2015
  • We stayed at Copperpot cottage September 2014. What a beautiful cottage and beautiful part of the world. It was the perfect home from home, with everything we needed for our 1 year old. We'll be back for sure.

    — Helen harte, 16 Oct 2014
  • Our family stayed at this cottage for a week in July 2014. We could not have stayed in a better holiday home, it was close to everything we wanted to do , 10 minute walk to shops and close to beach, great for children and families for a great holiday on the Antrim coast, Nicci greeted us with a warm welcome with fresh baked bread and wine which was a nice touch. The only regret we had was not booking for another week, Thank you Nicci and jonny x

    — Lisa winters, 20 Jul 2014
  • What a lovely place to relax! We just spent a weekend with family in the very comfortable Copperpot Cottage. The house is beautifully decorated and in such a tranquil location. The condiments and welcome goodies are a very thoughtful and lovely touch. We were blessed with beautiful weather and got to fully enjoy the outside mini garden and barbecue after long coastal walks, dips in the sea and ice-cream on the beach. It's a perfect seaside getaway location and we cannot wait to return.

    — Emma Cunningham, 24 Jun 2014
  • We have just returned from having spent an amazing weekend at your cottage. You gave us such a special welcome and made us feel so at home.I feel it always those little extra touches that are so appreciated especially that bottle of red!We have told many of our friends about your beautiful cottage and how it is a luxurious base for the splendid North Coast. Many thanks again and hope to return next year.Louise Lynch

  • Just returned from a fabulous 3 night break at Copperpot Cottage. The Cottage was great, we stay in self catering accomodation all over the world several times each year, but this has to be one of the best equiped places we've stayed - cooking facilities, bedrooms, wifi etc. Location was perfect - lots of really pretty places to visit. Nicci was a great host, leaving the personal touches like fresh flowers and wine. We hope to return in the future. Thanks again.

    — Alison Robson, 28 Apr 2014
  • Had a lovely stay 7th - 10th March with family. Nicci was there when we arrived early and made us very welcome. The kitchen area was a great space and we all spent our daytime there together as we could cook, eat, watch TV and my granddaughter could play. We spent our evenings in front of the super log burner in the living room once my granddaughter had gone to bed and continued in our quest to see who could come up with 'best word of the holiday' when we played our usual game(s) of scrabble.
The location was great in terms of access to Portrush/Portstewart/Coleraine or just the local spar for anything we needed.
We would definitely love to stay again and I thoroughly recommend Copperpot Cottage to families or even couples as a lovely place to stay. Everything you need is there from tea bags to washing powder/fabric conditioner/cleaning materials.
As a family we regularly stay in properties throughout Ireland (several times a year) and I have to say that Copperpot Cottage provided more in terms of provisions than anywhere we have ever stayed before.
Thank you Nicci for the milk/juice/jam/butter/wine/flowers/bread etc(the list goes on).
    We will be back!!!!

    — Doreen Savage, 10 Mar 2014
  • We stayed, 4 adults and 2 children, in this great cottage for a weekend in February. The cottage was very comfortable and very well equipped. The owners were very welcoming and we would hope to stay again in the future.

    — Andy, 21 Feb 2014
  • Myself, husband, two young children (7 & 3), mum and dad have just returned from a very cosy three night stay over Christmas. The cottage is picture postcard, extremely cosy yet very spacious. We loved the large wood burning stove set in the grand brick inglenook. We lolled on the corner sofa beside the kitchen. We consumed a large Christmas dinner cooked to perfection on the lovely large range cooker. And Santa even found the cottage and delivered presents to two very excited children. Thank you for the lovely welcome Xmas card and wine! The perfect start to our yuletide getaway and a refreshing stylish change from old fashioned chintz.

    — Heidi McAlpin, 30 Dec 2013
  • A beautiful cottage with everything a family needs for a relaxing break! A real home-from-home & a lovely warm welcome from Nicci :) We look forward to staying here again!

    — Sarah-Jane & Strachan, 06 Dec 2013
  • We had a great time staying at Copperpot Cottage. It felt like moving from home to home. Children had wifi access to play with their gadgets whilst we had a lovely log burner to enjoy. Nicci made us feel very welcome. I would strongly recommend this cottage to other families.

    — Helen McClay, 04 Nov 2013
  • We have just returned from a week at Copperpot Cottage. The cottage was amazing we were sorry to leave and could have stayed forever. The cottage was perfectly located for our first family holiday. Nicci and Jonny made us feel very welcome with some very thoughtful personal touches for both us and our baby. I will definitely recommend Copperpot Cottage to my family and friends and we look forward to a return visit with our second baby in the future.

    — Diane and David Wilson, 15 Oct 2013
  • Had a lovely stay in Copperpot Cottage.
The cottage is surprisingly spacious but still very cosy. A real home from home and nothing was too much bother for Nicci.
I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone!

    — Alan, 23 Sep 2013
  • 3 days was not long enough to appreciate both the delights of this beautiful cottage and the wealth of local activities and wonderful scenery. Our host Nicci could not have been more welcoming. She and Johnny have done a great job providing everything you could possibly wish for in a holiday cottage, loved the big open plan kitchen and sitting room, didn't get chance to light a fire in the lounge next door, perhaps next time. Great to have 2 separate living rooms though. Best place we've ever stayed in.

    — Theresa smissen, 05 Sep 2013
  • Stayed in the house with my family over the weekend of the airshow, had a good time, maybe not so much the airshow but the accommodation was superb, really well laid out and beautifully designed house, very homely and welcoming, kids and grandparents had a great time. Thanks

    — Johnny, 03 Sep 2013
  • "Great place to stay loads of room with everything you need for a family holiday for us chillin with are 5 year old with 1 of the kids dvds at night on the big conner sofa had great fun after along day out and about hope to return at some point soon"

  • As a family of 6 space and comfort are a major factor and this cottage has them in abundance. We had a wonderful week in a fantastic area of Northern Ireland, with lots to do & see. Would highly recommend a stay in the beautiful Copperpot Cottage.

    — John Maitland, 24 Aug 2013
  • We stayed here with family for a week and I could have easily moved in. We had a toddler and there was toys, dvd's bowls plates etc all there. We asked for a travel cot and it was immaculate. The cottage is wonderful and has everything you could need. It's not right in the centre of port rush but 2 minutes in the car and my son loved listening to the cows on the farm across the road. I would give it 5 stars.

    — Alison, 10 Jun 2013
  • This is a super cottage - very comfortable and well equipped, ranking with the best we have ever stayed in. It's an excellent base for exploring the beautiful north coast by car or bike. Perhaps I should add that we are family but we wouldn't say it if we didn't mean it!

    — Pam & Andy Richardson, 06 Jun 2013
  • Had a wonderful weekend at this charming Cottage. It is immaculate and in an ideal location to tour the North Coast. Would thoroughly recommend it.

    — Julie Hosford, 02 May 2013
  • Back from a weekend away in this lovely cottage, it was a home away from home, you could not say one bad thing thing abot the copperpot. Set just a stone throws distance away from the centre of portrush, my wife and friends enjoyed the cottage from the moment we walked in.
Cant wait for our next trip to the Copperpot Cottage!!
    A++++

    — Adam Sloan, 24 Apr 2013
  • Our family have just returned from a fantastic weekend stay at Copperpot Cottage. Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome from host Nicci who kindly left us a bottle of wine and basket of logs which came in handy on a cold Friday night in April! The cottage is presented to a high specification, is immaculately clean and retains all the homeliness and cosiness of a traditional cottage. This cottage is really a hidden gem which we fear will not be hidden for too long!! We look forward to returning soon.

    — Sarah Lampey, 10 Apr 2013
  • A really lovely cottage close to Portrush centre. I'm just back from a short stay - the cottage is spotless, very comfortable and very well equipped. All the rooms are very spacious and the log burner in the living room is so cosy. There is plenty of room for secure car parking at the back of the cottage. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and couldn't do any more to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone!

    — Janette Weir, 09 Apr 2013
  • Just back from a short stay here and I cannot say enough good things about Copperpot Cottage! The entire place is immaculate, inside and out! The rooms are incredilby spacious but it still feels cosy! The kitchen is enormous and more than adequately equiped and the wood burning stove in the living room is amazing!! The cottage is in a quiet area but jump in the car and you can be in Portrush or Coleraine within minutes!
Jonny and Nicci are gracious and generous hosts and have a wealth of local knowledge. I honestly cannot fault your beautiful cottage! Thanks for having us....we shall most definitely be back!
